Maintenance Technician

Position Summary: The Maintenance Technician is an hourly position.

The Maintenance Technician will report directly to the Chief Engineer.

Specific Responsibilities: This position is responsible for providing assistance in the operations of the resort: including maintenance, repair of resort property, outside grounds, resort equipment, preventative maintenance, and asset protection. Follows Daily Management, Inc., and Gold Crown Resort high standards of quality to ensure guest satisfaction, cleanliness, and safety. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: 1. Maintenance: Learns and demonstrates the ability to maintain property assets. Works with the Chief Engineer to understand preventive maintenance, equipment repairs and routine inspections. Learns the impact of maintaining company assets and how it impacts the overall financial success of the resort. 2. Guest Service: Assists and responds to guest requests in a friendly and positive manner, while providing the highest level of service. Ability to assist guests by having knowledge of the resort, guest room repairs and common area maintenance. Personally, demonstrates a strong example for other team members through exceptional guest service. 3. Identifies concerns and provides maintenance solutions: Assesses and evaluates property assets through preventative maintenance. Works with appropriate managers in a respectful and courageous manner to recommend maintenance service solutions. 4. Follows Daily Management, Inc., standard operating procedures: Works with the Maintenance Director to learn, understand and execute all maintenance procedures. 5. Works collaboratively with all others: Works as a team player in meeting guest needs and contributes to other departments' efforts when needed. Completes all assigned duties inside or outside the normal scope of responsibilities within the maintenance department. 6. Works safely: Maintains a clean and safe work area in compliance with Daily Management, Inc. local, state, and federal regulations. Uses personal protective equipment when needed. Follows all Daily Management, Inc. procedures for guest/associate incidents. Knowledge of the resort’s emergency procedures. 7. Self-Management: Produces required volume of work by planning, organizing and prioritizing work duties as presented by the Maintenance Director. Adheres to Daily Management, Inc. attendance policy, general work rules and department procedures. Attends all required department and resort meetings. Updated September 2020 Maintenance Technician Page 2 of 2 Position Requirements (Skills/Abilities): Experience: 2+ years of maintenance experience is preferred. Attention to detail, customer focused and the ability to perform job duties in a fast-paced environment. Education: High School diploma or GED required. CPO, and appliance repair certification is desired, or the ability to obtain certification based on property needs. Flexible Scheduling: Must be able to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays. Physical Demands: While performing this job, the employee must walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must use his/her hands and fingers to feel and reach for objects of various sizes, shapes, and weights. The employee will occasionally be required to climb a step ladder or balance and to talk, hear and/or smell. The employee must regularly push, pull, lift and/or move 10-25 lbs. And occasionally push, pull, lift and/or move 50 or more pounds with assistance. The employee must always have the maintenance cart with him/her. The cart must be stocked with the needed supplies and be in a secure location when left unattended. And the employee must also have his/her tools readily available. Specific Vision abilities required for this job include Close vision, Distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus on various settings. Good Customer Service skills are a must, as well as general handyperson skills. Standards of Appearance: This position is highly visible in all resort areas, team members must present a clean professional appearance and must adhere to Daily Management, Inc., Local Standard Operating Procedures – Standards of Appearance.
