Automotive Technician- A Level

Unity Chevrolet Cadillac of Newburgh is seeking to add a passionate and experienced Automotive A- Level Technician to our dealership in Newburgh, NY. The pay range is $70,000 which is closer for B-Tech and can go up to $100,000 for A-Techs.

$10,000 SIGN ON BONUS!!! (Must meet all Required fields and work with company a minimum of 90 days)

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunction and perform repair; communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Perform work as outlined on the repair order in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Communicate with the service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician; determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
• Follow all Manufacturer Guidelines regarding Warranty related repairs.
• Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools and events.
• Supervise apprentice technicians as assigned
• Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness of customer vehicles and body shop area
• Understand and comply with federal, state and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, use of tools/equipment, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc; report any safety issues to management

Experience, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• CDK Experience (Preferred)
• Minimum 5 years experience working automotive dealerships (Required)
• State Vehicle Inspector Certification (Required)
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record (Required)
