Staff Accountant - Quatrro

Quatrro Business Support Services is seeking a Staff Accountant for its not-for-profit team. The Staff Accountant works directly with clients to facilitate day-to-day accounting needs, including accounts payable, grant management, and accounts receivable. This accountant will play an instrumental role in our clients' financial futures. If you have a passion for helping nonprofit organizations and excel in building strong client relationships, this is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact. This is a hybrid role that will work at client sites in the Chicago area.

Responsibilities: 

• Maintain an understanding of financial reporting and general ledger structure.
• Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions.
• Ensure prompt collection of receivables and record cash receipts.
• Support accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and track expenditures by function, activity, and grant.
• Assist in federal, state, city, local, and private grant compliance.
• Provide clerical and administrative support to management as needed.

Qualifications:

Knowledge and Skills:

• Process Management
• Proficiency in Financial Software (QuickBooks preferred)
• Accounting Knowledge
• Budget Expense Tracking
• Financial Analysis Skills
• Grant Management (preferred)
• Microsoft Office Proficiency

• 4-year degree in accounting, finance, or business with an accounting/finance focus (or equivalent knowledge/experience),
• Previous accounting experience
• Must be able to travel to client sites across the Chicagoland area.
