Carrier Operations Business Systems Analyst - SQL - TSQL

This person will be responsible for developing and supporting solutions for business requests related to file delivery. This person will collaborate with end users to determine business requirements and apply business rules to data using internal configuration tools as well as T-SQL. In addition, they should be able to identify and communicate conflicting priorities with all stakeholders and be self-motivated to meet or exceed communicated deadlines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Carrier Operations Business Systems Analyst is accountable for completing both vendor file feed development tasks and day to day operational tasks in support of vendor file feed implementations. The Carrier Operations Business Systems Analyst is responsible for ensuring that all work delivered to the client service team is configured accurately per the vendor’s requirements and Empyrean’s best practices. In addition, the Carrier Operations Business Systems Analyst is also responsible for managing the tasks he/she is assigned. The Carrier Operations Business Systems Analyst role requires a solid process and technical orientation, analytical skills to assist in the resolution of complex client file issues, strong personal accountability, and effective communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Ability to use T-SQL to define small to medium data requirements

· Capable of performing unit testing and troubleshooting of file configurations

· Can translate business requirements into technical designs that align with the data model

· Communication of open items, risks and issues to key stakeholders

· Displays strong interpersonal, teamwork, verbal, writing, and analytic skills

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

· Education: Strong educational background (Bachelor’s degree preferred)

· Experience: Overall 1+ years of experience in developing T-SQL and MS Suite

· SQL Developer expertise required - should be well accustomed to writing SQL queries

· Working knowledge of relational database systems

· Excellent communication, problem-solving, self-motivated, and team-working skills

· Domain experience in health insurance and/or benefit administration is a plus
