Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL, Java, and reporting tools, including BIRT. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on enterprise-level projects.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and enhance Correspondences and reports using BIRT or other reporting tools.
  • Analyze, understand, and enhance existing SQL queries used for reporting and data extraction.
  • Perform query debugging, optimization, and data validation.
  • Support system validation and business acceptance activities during pre-production phases.
  • Collaborate with QA teams and business stakeholders to analyze and resolve report-related issues.
  • Assist in DB2 to PostgreSQL query conversion when required.
  • Integrate reporting solutions with Java/J2EE backend applications.
  • Perform backend development, enhancements, and bug fixes in Java applications.
  • Ensure report accuracy, performance, and alignment with functional requirements.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint-based development.
  • Maintain technical documentation for reports, queries, and implemented fixes.

Required Technical Skills:
  • SQL (DB2 / MySQL / PostgreSQL) including query analysis and data manipulation.
  • Java or J2EE backend development.
  • HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Reporting tool (BIRT preferred).
  • Ability to understand and modify complex existing queries and reports.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.

Required Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience with SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with Java or J2EE backend development.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Exposure to any reporting tool (BIRT preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exposure to DB2 to PostgreSQL query conversion.
  • Basic experience with Spring or Spring Boot.
  • Familiarity with Hibernate/JPA.
  • Experience using JIRA or similar tools.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Exposure to Public Services / Government domain.
