shall establish and maintain an organizational structure that supports the accomplishment of program objectives. The Education Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all centers provide a quality child development program that is designed and implemented to meet the needs of the whole child, with appropriate curriculum, a physical environment conducive to learning, and a supportive home/school relationship. The Education Coordinator is the resource person for the designated Center in the child development field and provides guidance, support and training to staff and parents.
Qualifications: BA/BS degree or advance degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development; or a BS/BS degree or advance degree and coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education. Must have teaching experience in early childhood setting, for a BA will need 5 years of experience/ or MA will need two years of experience.
Head Start of Greater Dallas (HSGD) offers free, high-quality child-development services to income eligible families with children ages 0-5 years old. HSGD is child-focused learning but also provides comprehensive services to the child family.
