We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Inventory Associate at our cabinet manufacturing facility. As an Inventory Associate, you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, conducting audits, and ensuring accurate stock records for all materials used in cabinet production. This role is essential in maintaining smooth operations and meeting production demands.

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Inventory Associate at our cabinet manufacturing facility. As an Inventory Associate, you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, conducting audits, and ensuring accurate stock records for all materials used in cabinet production. This role is essential in maintaining smooth operations and meeting production demands.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Receive incoming shipments of raw materials, including wood panels, hardware, and finishing materials.
- Unload and inspect materials for damage or discrepancies against purchase orders.
- Organize and store materials in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Stock Control:
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate stock records using inventory management software or spreadsheets.
- Perform regular cycle counts and inventory audits to reconcile discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and coordinate with management for disposition or disposal.
- Material Replenishment:
- Replenish materials at production workstations as needed to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
- Coordinate with purchasing or procurement departments to reorder materials based on inventory levels and production forecasts.
- Communicate any stock shortages or discrepancies to relevant departments to prevent production delays.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Keep detailed records of inventory transactions, including sales orderes, issuances, and returns.
- Generate inventory reports and analysis to track stock movements, identify trends, and forecast future inventory needs.
- Provide regular updates on inventory status and performance to management.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect incoming materials for quality and compliance with specifications.
- Report any quality issues or concerns to the appropriate departments for resolution.
- Ensure that all materials stored in the warehouse are properly labeled and organized to facilitate easy retrieval.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Follow all regulatory requirements related to inventory management, including hazardous materials handling and storage.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a related field preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and vendors.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Commitment to safety and compliance with company policies and procedures.
