Job Description:
As an Automation Engineer specializing in Sheet Metal Fabrication, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing automated solutions to enhance our manufacturing processes. Your expertise in automation technologies, particularly in TruBend Cell 500 or AMADA Bending Automation, will be essential in driving efficiency and quality in our sheet metal fabrication operations.,

Responsibilities:
1. System Integration: Design and integrate TruBend Cell 500 or AMADA Bending Automation systems into our sheet metal fabrication processes, ensuring seamless compatibility and efficiency.
2. Programming and Optimization: Develop and optimize software programs to control robotic arms and automation equipment for precise bending and forming of sheet metal components.
3. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process automation and optimization within sheet metal fabrication, and implement innovative solutions to increase productivity and quality while reducing lead times and costs.
4. Maintenance and Support: Conduct routine maintenance on automation systems to ensure optimal performance, and provide technical support to troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues that may arise.
5. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that sheet metal components meet strict tolerances and specifications, utilizing automation technology for consistent and accurate fabrication.
6. Training and Documentation: Provide training to operators and maintenance personnel on the operation and maintenance of automation systems, and maintain comprehensive documentation of processes and procedures.
7. Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards in the design, installation, and operation of automation systems, prioritizing the safety of personnel and equipment.
8. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing engineers, production managers, and quality assurance personnel to drive continuous improvement and innovation in sheet metal fabrication processes.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in automation engineering, specifically in sheet metal fabrication.
- Familiarity with TruBend Cell 500 or AMADA Bending Automation systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as PLC, C++, or Python.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
