Production Inventory Control Specialist

The Production Inventory Control Specialist performs production activities including, but not limited to, monitoring material and inventory movements, production system maintenance, data entry, and various production metrics.
Responsibilities:
- Abide by IPP’s safety and Health Policies and Procedures including wearing proper PPE and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Understand the Mission Statement.
- Utilizes SAP to maintain production data and metrics for all production parts.
- Utilizes SAP and other sources to track production, scrap, inventory levels and other metrics essential to optimizing production efficiency.
- Production planning, scheduling, and closing of production orders.
- Complete status reports for production progress, work in process, and raw material inventory.
- Responsible for daily, monthly & annual cycle counts, month-end, year-end physical inventory, and reconciliation with warehouse manager.
- Audit daily production data and report variances. Troubleshoot production and inventory variances as to identify root cause.
- Supports management in resolving material and inventory variances, implements and executes production and inventory control procedures, tracks, and reports variances in production schedules, and quantifies productivity issues.
Education & Experience:
- Associate degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Prior work experience in manufacturing environment is required.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines.
- Excellent written, oral communication skills, and excellent mathematical skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Excel is a must.
- Must be a self-starter and demonstrate initiative while seeking additional training or direction as needed.
- Possess strong organizational skills including following sequential ordering, multi-tasking, and prioritization.
- Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and good documentation practices preferred.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with various levels of the company.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
- High degree of professionalism and strong communication skills to correspond in writing and verbally with customers, peers, and visitors.
- Good trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
Physical Conditions:
This position will be exposed to the general office as well as warehouse and production environment near. This position may have to lift up to 30 pounds in order to deliver boxes or packages.
