Parts Manager

As a Parts Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Departmental Management

• Assesses departmental needs and formulates strategies to exceed them
• Coordinates and directs employees as needed to accomplish departmental goals
• Coordinates with the General Manager to define goals and objectives
• Collaborates with other departments to enhance efficiency
• Retains accountability to departmental profitability and growth
• Serves as a role model for employees by promoting company culture and behaviors
• Adheres-to and reinforces company policy and procedure with subordinate employees
• Monitors inventory and adjusts maximize turnover and minimize obsolescence
• Responsible for, and participates in weekly perpetual inventory count
• Assumes responsibility for all Parts Department processes and interactions with customers (internal and external)

Parts Counter

• Help internal and external customers find parts and accessories quickly and accurately
• Offer to sell complimentary and add-on items to customers
• Actively strive to increase Profit Per Customer
• Generate special orders for customer requests of non-stocked items
• Notify internal and external customers of backorders, and/or receipt of special orders
• Enter customer information and sale data into dealer management system
• Maintain a tidy workspace suitable for public view
• Take responsibility for merchandising and product presentation of the retail area
• May process and submit vendor orders
• Stock shelves as required by inventory plan
• Perform weekly perpetual inventory tasks as directed
• Maintain and accept responsibility to cash drawer accuracy of 100%
• Process end of day reports, daily

Customer Service

• Provide Excellent customer service
• Promptly answer incoming telephone calls, provide information, and transfer calls using best practices
• Maintain a pleasantly outgoing demeanor that encourages a positive customer rapport

Requirements

• Recent Motor Sports or Marine Dealership experience required
• 3-5 years of Parts Management experience required
• Must be a team player!
• Excellent ability to supervise staff, while limiting conflict
• Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
• Is familiar with basic combustion engine operation and parts
• Knows and understands boating products
• Lightspeed Experience
• Can demonstrate good ability to learn and operate new computer systems
• Ability to follow established policies and procedures
• Able to effectively multi-task several job functions at once
• Has a strong work-ethic and desire to not only lead a team, but be a part of one

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
