Job Description: Lightweight Concrete Foreman

Reports To: Supervisor

Classification: Non-Exempt

General Description:

As a Lightweight Concrete Foreman, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of concrete construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality at every stage.

Duties:

• Operating all equipment in a safe and efficient manner to eliminate accidents and adhere to job budgets.
• Overseeing concrete preparation, placement, installation, finishing, and curing activities.
• Identifying concrete mixes and determining the necessary equipment and procedures to achieve desired finish and performance results.
• Dividing projects into stages, assessing labor and material requirements for each stage, and communicating equipment and manpower needs to meet schedules and deadlines.
• Resolving any problems that may impact project quality and completion.
• Verifying inventory loads against shipping papers and ensuring accuracy.
• Consulting blueprints, drawings, and plans to ensure accurate placement and installation of concrete structures.
• Cleaning equipment as needed and performing routine maintenance.
• Delegating tasks to concrete laborers and providing guidance throughout the project.
• Assisting in building and positioning forms for pouring concrete, as well as dismantling forms after use.
• Loading, unloading, and hauling materials as required.
• Maintaining accurate records of hours worked and materials used for each project.
• Ensuring proper erection, support, and dismantling of formwork and shoring based on engineering designs and drawings.
• Inspecting concrete post-formwork removal and instructing laborers on defect correction and concrete finishing.
• Reporting any mechanical issues with vehicles and promptly notifying supervisors.
• Reporting delays, accidents, or transportation issues and submitting receipts from deliveries or purchases.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in concrete construction and supervision.
• Knowledge of concrete mixes, equipment, and procedures.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret engineering designs.
• Proficient in equipment operation and maintenance.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Must be able to push and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Must have the balance and dexterity to maneuver around a construction site and must enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must be drug and alcohol free.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, and climb ladders throughout complete shift.

• Adhering to all safety policies, including wearing safety harness and other required equipment.
• Ability to withstand different climates (extreme heat and other weather).
