Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse
Locations: Plano, TX
Shift Timings: DAYS - 8HRS: (Mon - Fri) 8 am - 5 pm
Contract Duration: 14 weeks with possible extension
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at our clinic in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outpatient clinic environments, particularly in internal medicine, family medicine, or general practice settings. You will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care, performing medical procedures, and supporting the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in an outpatient clinic setting, including performing medical procedures and assisting healthcare providers.
- Medical Procedures: Perform injections, EKGs, blood pressure checks, and POC (point-of-care) testing as needed.
- Back Office Support: Assist with clinic operations, including maintaining patient records, scheduling appointments, and ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Patient Interaction: Communicate effectively with patients, answering questions, providing education, and ensuring their needs are met.
- Compliance: Adhere to clinic protocols, safety standards, and regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers, medical assistants, and other team members to provide comprehensive care.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient care, including treatment plans, vital signs, and other relevant information.
Qualifications:
- Licensing and Certification:
- Active LPN/LVN license in the state of Texas.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
- Experience:
- Minimum of one year of outpatient clinic experience (e.g., urgent care) within the past three years.
- Clinic experience, including back office work, injections, performing EKGs, blood pressure monitoring, and POC testing.
- Preferred Experience:
- Experience in internal medicine, family medicine, or general practice type office is preferred.

- Exclusions:
- Experience in SNF, corrections, behavioral health, LTC, home health, or rehab settings does not qualify for this position in THPG clinics.
