JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for administering qualified retirement plans, individual retirement accounts and other tax advantaged accounts to ensure client retention and regulatory compliance. Generate new business.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Administer Qualified Retirement Plans (75%)

• Independently market and service qualified DC retirement plans (including but not limited to 401(k)/profit sharing plans, employee stock option plans, money purchase pension plans) across the whole spectrum of client relationships pursuant to the controlling plan document, state and federal regulations and client direction.

• Communicate to plan sponsors and participants, including participant enrollment and education, annual plan sponsor reviews, discrimination testing results, dispute resolution, investment performance results, plan design issues and ongoing customer contact to ensure high levels of client retention.

• Includes coordinating annual employee meetings/financial planning meetings with clients, and ongoing new employees, as well as coordinating and preparing quarterly plan reviews with clients.


New Business Development (20%)

• Establish of professional relationships with local attorneys, CPAs, insurance agents, investment advisers, and other professionals leading to a meaningful and increasing volume of new sales.

• Includes prospecting utilizing the telephone, direct mail, seminars, current client visits or other local marketing programs directed by Sales management for the purpose of seeking new clients and referral sources.


Understands Operational Duties & Procedures (5%)

• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of retirement plan services and the ability to interact with operations staff to accomplish the same.

• Includes the accurate and timely completion of new business paperwork and expense reports.


Performs other duties as required and assigned.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to demonstrate solid knowledge of applicable federal laws such as ERISA.

• Ability to demonstrate solid knowledge or experience in recommending investment and financial planning concepts to plan sponsors and participants and overseeing the implementation of the same.

• Ability to demonstrate solid knowledge of investments and asset allocation strategies.

• Knowledge of ERISA accounting to include Form5500 and Form 1099R tax return production and annual discrimination testing.

• Excellent customer service, communication, and presentation skills.

• Organizational and time management skills, and strong attention to detail a must.

• Self-starter with the ability to work independently but within an overall team approach.

• Self-motivated individual with high energy and willingness to build and/or expand a sales territory for Security National Bank.

• Ability to complete required compliance training by assigned due date.

• Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance.

• Ability to travel to attend client meetings and provide employee presentations

EDUCATION*

• Minimum 4-year college degree with sales experience preferred or equivalent experience required.


EXPERIENCE*

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Qualified Plan sales and service professional, being able to demonstrate increasing levels of business success against expectations in that role required.

• Strong sales and/or relationship management experience required.

*Equivalent education and experience will be considered
