We are currently hiring a Medical Assistant to join our team of aesthetic professionals at Plastic Surgery Associates & Allegro MedSpa in Santa Rosa, CA.

Plastic Surgery Associates & Allegro MedSpa serves clients from Sonoma, Napa, and Marin counties, and we're proud to have nationally recognized board-certified plastic surgeons who provide the highest quality of patient care and exceptional results.

Responsibilities: 

• Function as primary liaison between patients and physicians
• Ensure that every patient receives the highest quality of care and service from the first moment of contact throughout the check-in, treatment, and check-out process, to post-treatment follow up communications.
• Greeting patients, assisting in physician consultations, pre-op and post-op visits, and suture removal.
• Coordinate patient education, consents, and discharge procedures.
• Telephone/email triage
• Room and interview patients and document basic medical history
• Capture precise and detailed patient photographs, download to imaging software, and create layouts.
• Prepare fillers, injectables, and other treatments for doctor.
• Call in prescriptions to pharmacy on behalf of the surgeon
• Assist out-of-town patients with travel arrangements when necessary.
• Prepare, respond to, monitor, and follow up on patient questions
• Clean and stock treatment rooms.
• Clean and sterilize medical instruments.
• Cross-trained in front office responsibilities (front reception coverage)

Requirements:

• Treats all patients and other staff members with respect, is polite and professional, and keeps patient information private and secure according to HIPAA.
• Ability to effectively triage calls from patients to ensure appropriate scheduling.
• Excellent customer service, communication skills and telephone etiquette.
• Ability to understand patient’s needs and concerns.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Computer proficiency.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of Nextech is a plus!
• Bilingual a major plus!

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Medical Assistant

Experience:

• Two years minimum experience in a medical practice, hospital, customer service, retail or hospitality environment setting preferred. Willing to train the right candidate.
