Assistant Construction Project Manager

Summary/Objective:

The Assistant Construction Project Manager will be based in Phoenix, Arizona. The Assistant Construction Project Manager position is an entry level position geared towards future growth in the management, coordination, and general oversight of construction activities within the company owned and managed property portfolio. The Assistant Construction Project Manager will function as project engineer working alongside experienced project managers on the execution of large-scale development/re-development projects, tenant improvements, and lease tracking. The position requires strong relationship building skills, strong verbal & written communication skills, initiative, professional judgment, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

Act as assistant construction project manager on multiple projects specifically performing construction-related tasks associated with redevelopment, tenant improvement, lease tracking and new construction projects within the region including but not limited to:

• Project Scheduling
• Project Estimating
• Project Closeout
• Plan Review
• Space Planning
• Bid & Award Projects
• Contract Preparation and Management
• Proforma Creation
• Workflow Tracking
• Consultant Management
• Document Filing and Electronic Transfer
• Systems Management
• Contractor coordination
• Permitting coordination
• Job Cost to Budget Tracking

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong Computer Skills (MS Outlook - MS Project - MS Excel - MS Word - MS PowerPoint)
• Working knowledge of CAD preferred
• Previous tenant coordination experience preferred
• Participation and attendance at project site meetings and/or meetings with government agencies
• Must be a team player and work well with Senior Management, tenants, leasing managers, property managers, lease administration, and corporate personnel, architects, contractors, and other daily contacts
• Solid time management skills with ability to prioritize, organize and successfully balance multiple tasks and requests
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture required

Travel:

• Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
