Senior Pipe Support Engineer (DOE Project)

Johnson Service Group is recruiting for a, Senior Pipe Support Engineer, for a 12-month contract assignment supporting the Hanford Waste Treatment Plant near Richland, WA. This onsite role offers a W2 hourly base rate with time and a half for overtime, per diem, and mobilization / demobilization. Bechtel is targeting $85.00/hour for this role.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Project Overview:
The Hanford Tank Waste Treatment Plant will use vitrification technology to process and solidify radioactive and chemical waste stored at the Hanford site. This position will require full time presence in the Richland, WA project office and works a 9/80 schedule, offering every other Friday off.
Responsibilities:
- Locating and designing supports for various piping systems and performing associated calculations.
- Work closely with layout personnel and other support engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required.
Education / Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field.
- 9+ years of experience with AISC and ASME B31.3 and other relevant industry codes and standards.
- Prior experience using structural analysis programs (ME150 (FAPPS) or GT STRUDL preferred).
- Prior experience using Pipe Support Modeler software.
- Prior experience working in a 3D model environment.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PE Registration.
- Previous Bechtel project experience.
- Previous DOD/DOE project experience
