APN Staffing is NOW hiring for our client in Providence, Rhode Island. Pharmacist position is a REMOTE position with part-time hours of (20-24 per week) during the hours of (8:00 am to 5:00 pm). This is a contract position and not a permanent position with the State of Rhode Island. Hourly rate of pay is $49.24 an hour.
General Job Responsibilities:
Most tasks performed remotely but candidate should be RI-based
Experience w/ RI Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) required, and the ability to conduct outreach visits to PDMP end-users if needed
Provide pharmacological consultation on oversight and administration for developing, establishing, and implementing policies, procedures and for the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and institutional policies
Serve as a subject matter expert in pharmacology, opioid prescribing, prescription drug monitoring, addiction, and diversion
Job Requirements:
Knowledge of the use clinical effects, and composition of medications, including their chemical biological and physical properties
Expert knowledge of drugs, their mechanisms of action and place in therapy
Candidate must possess prior experience using the Rhode Island Prescription Drug Monitoring Program
Knowledge of regulations, policies, and laws related to the PDMP is preferred
Must possess and maintain a current license from the State Board of Pharmacy and Experience with Rhode Island Prescription Drug Monitoring Program
