Quick Lube Technician

Job Summary:
The Quick Lube Technician at Walker Volkswagen in Metairie, Louisiana is a full-time, hourly position in the auto industry. This role is for an individual contributor who possesses excellent technical skills and attention to detail. The primary responsibility of the Quick Lube Technician is to perform oil changes, tire rotations, and basic maintenance services on vehicles. The successful candidate will have a passion for cars and a desire to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Compensation & Benefits:
The Quick Lube Technician position offers a competitive hourly wage of $15 to $18 per hour, paid on a weekly basis. Additionally, the successful candidate will have access to comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and employee discounts.

Responsibilities:
- Perform oil changes, tire rotations, and basic maintenance services on vehicles
- Inspect and replace filters, fluids, and other essential vehicle components
- Keep service area clean and organized
- Maintain an inventory of tools and equipment, ensuring they are safely stored and well-maintained
- Communicate with customers and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in the automotive industry preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use various hand and power tools
- Knowledge of basic automotive repair and maintenance procedures
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
