Automotive Technician

Job Summary:
As an Automotive Technician at Keffer Mazda, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on vehicles to ensure they are safe and reliable for customers. This is a full-time, hourly position in the auto industry located in Huntersville, North Carolina. This role is an individual contributor role and will report to the Service Manager. The compensation for this position is $18 to $30 per hour, paid biweekly.

Responsibilities:
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks on a variety of makes and models
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues on vehicles
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to properly identify and troubleshoot problems
• Provide customers with a clear and detailed explanation of recommended repairs and estimated costs
• Ensure all work is completed accurately and in a timely manner, meeting all quality standards and safety protocols
• Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repairs performed on vehicles
• Communicate effectively with team members and service advisors to provide exceptional customer service
• Continuously update knowledge and skills through ongoing training and certification programs

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Automotive Technician
• ASE certification preferred
• Experience working with a variety of vehicle makes and models
• Strong technical and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record
