As Senior Project Scheduler, you will be working within a team environment and you’ll coordinate, manage, and analyze Project schedules and documentation for various projects. This role is responsible for performing inspections of project sites to evaluate project progress, conducting an analysis of project documents and schedules, and effectively relaying findings. You are expected to use a large measure of independent judgement, considering, and weighing alternatives when appropriate, taking into account the financial and operational significance of the services being performed.
Role & Responsibilities: Senior Project Consultant
- Participate in all phases of the Project planning & scheduling process, including the development of schedules and ongoing schedule updates.
- Conduct forensic analysis of project schedules, contemporaneous documentation, and Project costs.
- Perform inspections of Project sites, evaluating project progress.
- Review and organize large amounts of Project documents and data.
- Perform schedule delay analysis to establish the extent of delays as a result of an Incident and to resolve Builder’s Risk Delay in Start-up (DSU) claims.
- Evaluate Project productivity and progress data, extended general conditions, and expediting expenses.
- Assess the impact of project changes and schedule delays, effectively communicating findings.
- Operates on behalf of clients to monitor and manage timelines, expenses, and other factors critical to operational efficiency and cost management during all phases of Project.
- Review and synthesize relevant information to aid in the preparation technical project reports.
- Maintain job files, documentation, and other relevant deliverables.
- Interface with other department employees, contractors, and clients on a regular basis
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Project management or engineering discipline required.
- Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience managing projects within the Project or engineering industry required.
- EIT or PE, PMP, and PSP certifications are considered a plus.
- Experience using critical path method (CPM) techniques to analyze Project schedules.
- Previous experience with builder’s risk insurance policies, Project claims management, and managing contractors.
- Experience with Microsoft Project and Oracle Primavera P6 is a plus.
- Ability to travel as needed to project sites and client offices. (approx. 10-15%).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team towards a common purpose.
- Strong communications skills, with the ability to interface with various stakeholders and clients.
The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Total compensation and benefits consist of salary, group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, and flexible time off.
