As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and proactive Customer Care and Wholesale Sales Representative to join our team and contribute to our success.

Role Overview:

The Stockroom and Inventory Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient inventory management and smooth operation of the stockroom. This position involves meticulous organization, inventory tracking, and coordination with various departments to fulfill stock needs. The primary responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

o Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including stock movements, adjustments, and transfers.

o Conduct regular inventory counts to ensure stock accuracy and identify discrepancies.

o Utilize inventory management software or systems to track inventory levels and generate reports.

Stock Receiving and Storage:

o Receive incoming stock shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damage or discrepancies.

o Properly label and store incoming stock in designated locations within the stockroom.

o Ensure adherence to FIFO (First In, First Out) principles to minimize product spoilage and obsolescence.

Stock Issuance and Distribution:

o Fulfill internal stock requests from various departments or individuals in a timely manner.

o Prepare and pack stock items for shipment or delivery, ensuring accuracy and completeness of orders.

o Maintain records of stock issuance and distribution for accountability and tracking purposes.

Organization and Maintenance:

o Maintain cleanliness and organization of the stockroom to facilitate efficient stock retrieval and storage.

o Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment within the stockroom.

o Conduct regular audits of stockroom supplies and equipment, reporting any maintenance or repair needs.

Collaboration and Communication:

o Coordinate with purchasing, logistics, and other relevant departments to ensure timely replenishment of stock and resolution of inventory issues.

o Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders regarding stock availability, backorders, and other inventory-related matters.

o Provide support and assistance to other departments as needed, such as fulfilling urgent stock requests or assisting with inventory-related projects.

Continuous Improvement:

o Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements in stockroom operations.

o Implement best practices for inventory management to optimize stock levels and minimize stockouts or excess inventory.

o Stay updated on industry trends and developments in inventory management practices.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in inventory management or related field is a plus.

· Proven experience in stockroom operations, inventory management, or related roles.

· Familiarity with inventory management software or systems.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.

· Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

· Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

· Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects.

· Forklift operation – Training can be provided.

· Knowledge of safety protocols and practices in a warehouse or stockroom environment.
