The Cost Accountant will play a key role in analyzing and reporting on the company's cost accounting processes. This individual will work closely with various departments to gather data, analyze costs, and provide insights to support informed decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular analysis of production costs, including materials, labor, and overhead expenses.
• Assist in the development and implementation of cost accounting policies and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain accurate cost records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and analyze cost variances.
• Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities, including the preparation of cost-related journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare detailed cost reports and presentations for management review.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities related to production costs.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Provide support for internal and external audits as needed.
• Stay current on industry trends and best practices in cost accounting.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.
• Experience with NetSuite is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
