Account Manager (Entry-Level)

Entry-Level Account Manager position in Oak Brook, IL!

Lee Hecht Harrison is looking for an entry-level sales & account management professional to help a local non-profit expand their partnerships with restaurants that are willing to participate a vital social service for underserved senior citizen population. If you’re looking to provide a valuable service while also building relationships within the food service industry, this opportunity is for you!

Responsibilities:

• Identifying, calling, and setting up meetings with local restaurants in an effort to expand a senior dining program
• Traveling to restaurants within the county to talk with management about a Senior Dining program that allows the disadvantaged to use food vouchers to receive meals for free (paid for by the non-profit)
• Building and maintaining relationships after solidifying the partnership (including dealing with systems/software issues, program difficulties, etc.)
• Developing an increasingly diverse roster of participating restaurants (including identifying ethnic food options, healthy meal plans, etc.)

 

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience a clerical, sales, account manager, or related position a plus
• A passion for non-profit work and the mission of the organization (helping underserved senior citizens)
• Exceptional communication ability, negotiation skills, and a friendly demeanor that will facilitate relationship building
• Prior experience in the restaurant / food service industry a big plus (bartenders, food servers, waiters)

 

Hours:

• Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 4:30pm (Flexible) (Full-Time)

 

Dress Code:

• Business Casual

 

Report To:

• Executive Program Director

 

Worksite:

• In-Office / Onsite
• 50% Local Travel Required (Mileage is Reimbursed)

 

Employment Type:

• Contract-to-Hire

 

Compensation:

• $18.00 - $20.00 Per Hour
