Delivery Driver/Laborer

Aquatic Resource Restoration Company is an environmental construction company based in York, PA. Our highly skilled and expert personnel provide a multitude of comprehensive stream, wetland and floodplain restoration services throughout the mid-Atlantic region, with a specialized focus on the Chesapeake Bay Watershed.

JOB OVERVIEW:
ARRC is looking for a full-time experienced Delivery Driver/Laborer to join our nursery crew in Glen Rock, PA. In this position, you will be responsible for safely operating a non-CDL Commercial Vehicle while making deliveries across the mid-Atlantic area.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Safely operates a non-CDL commercial vehicle through various settings; 1 to 2 days a week
• Performs labor duties at the nursery when not driving; 3 to 4 days a week
• Loads, delivers and unloads live cargo in a safe and courteous manner; while following nursery standards
• Responds with a sense of urgency to meet the needs of customers
• Responsible for the completion of daily truck logs; including pre/post trip inspections
• Tarps and secures cargo when appropriate
• Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle and equipment
• Maintains a safe driving record, obeys all applicable traffic laws, and drives in accordance with weather/road conditions
• Operates other equipment when/as needed (skid loader, forklift & pallet jack)
• Responsible for ground maintenance at nursery including weeding and mowing
• Assists nursery team with potting and production when/as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Relevant driving experience with a truck/trailer, box or flatbed truck is preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license; with a clean driving record
• Ability to travel out of town for extended periods
• High school or equivalent educational experience is a plus
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Excellent customer service and time management skills
• Must be able to follow directions and complete tasks independently
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and meet necessary deadlines
• Must be able to physically stand, bend, squat, and carry up to 50 pounds
• Must be able and willing to work overtime if needed
• Must follow all company rules, regulations, policies, guidelines, etc.
