Tropic Construction, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hispanic Housing Dev. Corp., is seeking two reliable and hardworking Construction Laborers to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. As a Construction Laborer, you will be responsible for assisting in all phases of construction projects, from site preparation to completion. You will work closely with our construction team to ensure projects are completed efficiently, accurately, and within a timely manner. This is a full-time position with room for growth within the company.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in all phases of construction projects, including but not limited to demolition, site preparation, foundation work, framing, and finishing.
- Operate tools and equipment, such as saws, drills, and other construction machinery.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe construction site.
- Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris, garbage, and potential hazards.
- Load and unload materials and supplies to and from trucks and delivery vehicles.
- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks, such as painting, repairing structures, and cleaning equipment.
- Communicate effectively with the construction team to ensure projects are completed efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure all construction equipment and tools are properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Follow instructions and guidelines given by supervisors and managers.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in construction or related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and techniques.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including carrying heavy materials and working in all types of weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
