TITLE: Facilities Technician

LOCATION: Bristol PA

DURATION: temp-perm

 PAY: $27-$31

                  

**BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG TEST IS REQUIRED*

Responsible for the maintenance and repair of the facility's structure, equipment and grounds, including all trades (mechanical, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.). Performs trades work, such as carpentry or painting, in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures. Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment. Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications. Requires knowledge of applicable standards or regulations and may require specific trade certifications.

• Developing support contributor, responsible for the maintenance and repair of the facility's structure, equipment and grounds, including all trades (mechanical, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.).
• Performs trades work, such as carpentry or painting, in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures.
• Works under general supervision. Less detailed instructions are provided, and moderate peer review is required.
• Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
• Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
• Supports Facilities moves, furniture installations, and reconfigurations.
• Escorts and oversees contractors providing facilities support services.
• Follow Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures.

• Requires fully proficient job knowledge/skills in facilities operations & maintenance with relevant experience in
o Basic electrical maintenance and repair
o Hazardous chemical distribution and disposal
o Preventive equipment maintenance (completion of work orders and tasks)
o Inventory maintenance of replacement parts and materials
o Fabrication, installation and repair of special tools and fixtures or jigs in support of operations and engineering
o Familiarity with interior, structural installation and repairs (flooring, drywall/studding, painting, plumbing repairs and installs, lighting fixtures, ceiling grid and tiles)
o Basic janitorial assistance.
• Basic PC skills. Must be able to utilize the maintenance software program.
• Operational knowledge and experience with lifts and ladders for overhead work
• Requires knowledge of applicable standards or regulations and may require specific trade certifications.

Preferred Additional Skills:
• Proven customer service skills and team player
• Physical requirements include climbing ladders, extended seating or standing, or other physical efforts.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a United States Citizen or possess authorization to work in the United States.
• Experience using maintenance software programs for PMs and WOs, “Faciliworks” experience a plus.
• Prior EH&S knowledge
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

 

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
