Here at Explore Industries, we are seeking Manufacturing Assistants to join our Integra Pool Covers team. This onsite position is in Knoxville, TN, on our Corporate and Manufacturing Island Campus.

A Manufacturing Assistant’s primary responsibilities are to work together with the team to fabricate swimming pool covers and operational mechanisms. The process includes measuring and cutting vinyl sheet material, heat welding panels, assisting with the sewing process, adding attachments according to customer specifications, and assembly of cover track mechanisms. Manufacturing Assistants will also help with quality checks prior to assisting with packing of the cover for shipment.

Additional responsibilities of a Manufacturing Assistants role include, but are not limited to:

• Assist with periodic inventory.
• Assist with material handling which could include the use of pallet jacks to forklift operation (after authorization to operate).

Required Qualifications (We would like our talented Manufacturing Assistant for this role to have at least these minimum skills & experience)

• High School degree or equivalent.
• Basic mathematics and measuring skills.
• Experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Able to handle multiple projects and tasks in various stages and adjust to completing these with attention to details and product quality.
• Ability to work within a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
• Ability to lift, pull, and pull materials (50 – 75 lbs)

Preferred Skills (We would be excited to hear if you also have the following experience)

• Experience in heat-seal welding, kit-building, fabricating, and material cutting.
• Use of sewing machines and knowledge of how to sew (even better if in an industrial setting).
• Use of power and hand tools.
