Qualifications

• 18 years of age
• Successful completion of a formal certification training program and/or a written skills test and competency evaluation given by Oasis
• Demonstrates the ability to read, write, and follow a written plan of care by using verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Licensed driver with automobile insurance in accordance with state and/or Oasis requirements
  

Essential Functions/Areas of Accountability

• Client Assistance: Provide essential assistance to clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Assist with mobility and transfers as needed, ensuring client safety and comfort.
• Medication Reminders: Support clients in adhering to their medication schedules, helping them take the right medications at the right times as prescribed by their healthcare providers.
• Companionship: Offer emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging in conversations, playing games, and participating in activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
• Meal Preparation: Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding as required, taking into consideration any dietary restrictions or preferences.
• Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as tidying up living areas, doing laundry, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients.
• Observation and Reporting: Monitor clients' health status and note any changes in physical, mental, or emotional conditions. Report observations to supervisory healthcare professionals to ensure timely interventions.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of care provided, documenting daily activities, observations, and any changes in clients' conditions.
• Family Communication: Maintain open communication with clients' families, providing updates on their loved ones' well-being and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
