Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic

Industrial Salvage & Wrecking is one of Kansas City's longest operating demolition companies. Since 1961 we have been a leader in the industry specializing in the demolition of commercial, residential and interior structures. We are currently hiring a full- time Shop Diesel Engine and Heavy Equipment Mechanic.

Tools, equipment and service truck provided. No equipment or tools needed.

Job Description:

• Onsite and local mobile repair of heavy demolition equipment, diesel trucks, gas powered trucks and end dump trailers such as Peterbilt, International and Sany Excavators.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair of components, hydraulic systems, brake systems, transmissions, electrical systems, and engines.
• Completes paperwork associated with repairing vehicles and documenting parts usage.
• Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, and performing preventive maintenance.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.

Requirement:

• Minimum of 5 years practical experience working on heavy equipment, loaders, excavators, bobcats, tractor/trailers, etc.
• Valid driver’s license, preferably Class A CDL.
• DOT Certified is a plus.
• Must have excellent attendance.
