2024 Salary: $85,888 Firefighter Paramedic IV

$70,731 Firefighter EMT IV

Union Status: Union; covered under Collective Bargaining Agreement

Position Qualifications:

All candidates must meet all of the following minimum requirements by the application deadline to be considered for the position:

Education/Experience:

• Associate degree from an accredited college or university is highly desirable
• High School Diploma or GED

Minimum Licensing/Certification Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
• Must be 18 years of age
• Completed NTN FireTEAM test by the application deadline
• EMT-B preferred
• Current CPAT attach it to your application (dates and times are limited, register for your CPAT immediately)

Preferred Certifications:

• State of Colorado Division of Fire Safety Firefighter I certification
• State of Colorado Division of Fire Safety Hazardous Material Operations certification
• EMT-B

Testing and Assessments

All applicants will be required to successfully complete a battery of assessments to determine suitability for the position they are applying for.

At a minimum, the candidate will be subjected to the following assessments:

• Oral board with employees of the district
• Assessment Center
• Interview with the Chief of the District

Candidates who are made a conditional offer will be required to successfully pass the following:

• Integrity Interview, Background Investigation, and psychological assessment
• Pre-employment physical with Drug Screening to include VO2 Max
• Front Range Fire Consortium (FRFC) Academy and test
• EMT Academy
