Wayside Family Treatment Center maintains the family unit by welcoming women who are pregnant and mothers with children into treatment to prevent separation. We receive services for addiction, parenting, understanding how their alcohol or substance use contributes to Adverse Childhood Experiences, and improving their relationship skills to ultimately break the generational transmission of risk.
What you will do:

  • Assist with training and implementation of electronic medications records (eMAR)
  • Transcribe clinician orders to be reviewed by a licensed nurse
  • Review medication administration record for errors/signatures/initials. Assist with tracking medications corrections of RA/TMA staff.
  • Administer client medication and document appropriately.
  • Communicate with nursing staff regarding client concerns pertaining to medications
  • Assist with scheduling physical exams/obtain ROIs/fax documents to clinics
  • Reorder client medications, ensuring clients have appropriate number of refills of medications for all shifts
  • Printing MARs on a monthly basis for RN to sign off on
  • Assist with COVID-19 protocols including covid swabs and testing new admits and children when they arrive on-site and document appropriately in the system.
  • Collaborate and support Recovery Advocate team
  • Be available to support RA staff
  • Available to clients seeking guidance and support
  • Supervise client activities including responding to emergencies and effectively manager crisis
  • Assist with admits and discharge of clients and completing any required paperwork

Compensation: $19.00 per hour plus $2 shift differential for working between the hours of 5:30p-9:30p and a $4 shift differential for working between the hours of 9:30p-7:30a (shift must start before 4a to qualify).
Schedule:
Sunday-Thursday, 2:00-10:00pm. (40 hours per week)
Sound like a good fit? A few requirements include:
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • 18 years or older
  • Trained Medication Aide through a Minnesota college
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a TMA in substance use/mental health treatment setting
  • Adult and child CPR - training provided if needed
  • Supervisory experience in residential treatment or similar setting
  • Microsoft office/outlook experience
  • knowledge and/or experience in the field of substance use disorder and/or mental heath
  • Must be able to maintain client confidentiality in accordance with state and federal guidelines and HIPAA requirements.
  • Must be able to pass a Minnesota DHS background study
  • Ability to pass a motor vehicle record check - no DUIs in last 3 years
  • Free of problematic substance-use for at least 2 years proceeding employment.
  • Must value diversity and able to relate and enjoy working with women and children of diverse economic and cultural backgrounds.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
