Facilities Project Manager

WAGE RANGE: $66,000-$77,000/annually
JOB SUMMARY: Catholic Charities is seeking a self-motivated and detail-orientated individual who is compassionate, trauma-informed, and culturally aware to serve as its Facilities Project Manager.
The Facilities Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating renovation, construction, office moves and furniture projects in Catholic Charities facilities.
They will coordinate with facility, program, Procurement, IT, and other staff as needed on projects, and create capital and expense plans for long term planning.
They will assist the Senior Director of Support Services and the Facilities Business Manager in maintenance of buildings and grounds to ensure safety of clients, volunteers, visitors, and employees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Identifies and tracks repair needs of buildings and grounds for all locations and presents recommendations for prioritization.
- Working with the Senior Director and Facilities Business Manager, establishes five, seven- and ten-year capital and expense budgets based on long term strategic planning for facilities.
- Coordinates related activities with Procurement, IT, Property Management, Operations and other affected teams and contractors as necessary.
- Develops and manages project budgets, plans, schedules, and reports as necessary. Reviews project invoices for accuracy. Works with internal grants team to provide project pricing for potential grant awards.
- Works with requesting departments to determine and select room layouts and appropriate furnishings related to business processes. Works with Facilities Business Manager on internal space tracking documents for Catholic Charities.
- Ensures construction/renovation and furnishings are consistent with Catholic Charities policies and procedures.
- Maintains electronic and paper blueprint archives and ensures proper documentation is received at the completion of each project.
- With Facilities Business Manager, makes recommendations on Catholic Charities space use and planning.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERTISE:
- Five (5) years or more experience in corporate, business, health care, housing and related projects with overall responsibility for project coordination and fiscal management.
- Bachelor's degree with certification in construction project management, interior design or related field preferred.
- Experience with computer aided drafting system preferred.
- General knowledge in facilities operations and procedures, including health care or housing. Familiarity with ADA, life/safety and building code preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be able to prioritize/organize work and to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive materials.
- Strong written/verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management both internally and externally. Ability to build effective relationships with customers, contractors, and partners.
- Ability to work with diverse and/or low-income populations, including those who may be experiencing homelessness, unstable housing, and/or mental illness required.
