1888 is in search of a dedicated Electrical Engineer. Applications will be accepted until May 1, 2024.
Essential Functions
- Design and implement practical solutions that respond to the needs of society in all its aspects (social, political, environmental, regional, national and global).
- Search, obtain, process and communicate information. Furthermore, as an important part of your job you must have the ability to transform information into knowledge.
- Analyze alternatives and provide solutions to problems specific to electrical engineering, relying on technological tools.
- Plan and direct projects (low, medium, and high impact) that are related to the generation, transmission, distribution and use of electrical energy
- Design, build, put into service electrical energy generation, transmission, and distribution systems
- Create, calculate, design, build, commission, control, evaluate, and maintain electrical installations in low, medium and high voltage for residential, commercial and industrial applications
- Direct and coordinate the performance of technical tests in the laboratory and field tests on electrical equipment and materials.
- Appropriately apply technical standards (national and international) and comply with safety and performance standards for electrical systems and equipment
- Develop manuals and procedures for the operation, repair and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems
- Advise, consult, inspect and certify electrical works
- Manage in an optimal and/or efficient manner the human, technical, financial and physical resources defined for the implementation of projects or companies in which he/she is a participant.
- Analyze the feasibility and evaluate the impacts (social, economic and environmental) related to the development of projects related to electrical engineering.
- Professional in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering and/or Mechatronic Engineering.
- Basic professional knowledge of Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering and/or Mechatronic Engineering.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the industry
- Engineering software, such as CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), PLC/SCADA software
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, etc.
- Knowledge in configuration and diagnosis of industrial networks.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and diagnose failures in control and instrumentation systems.
- Experience in using diagnostic and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA, ANSI/ISA) and quality standards (ISO) applicable to control and instrumentation systems.
