Medical Scribe - Part Time

As a Medical Scribe, you would be crucial to our mission because you would transcribe the provider's exam of a patient, which helps the provider to better treat the patient and improve their life. On any given day, you could document a patient's visit for chronic pain so the provider can effectively treat them or work closely with the provider to ensure medical records are accurate and complete. What would you do as a Medical Scribe?

You can expect to regularly:

• Transcribe the patient's history, physical exam findings, consultations, labs, X-rays, and other evaluations into the electronic medical record with accuracy and efficiency during patient visit;
• Rectify mistakes or inconsistencies in patient's electronic medical record;
• Input accurate charges into patient's electronic medical record;
• Ensure the presence of medical scribe in patient exam room does not detract from provider's treatment of patient;
• Maintain confidentiality and abide by HIPAA requirements;
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality to minimize impacts to clinic staffing schedules.

Requirements

• Certifications/Education
• High School Diploma/GED;
• Knowledge of:
• Human anatomy and terminology;
• HIPAA regulations and procedures;
• Experience:
• Communicating effectively in a professional setting.

Preferred Qualifications - How can you set yourself apart from other applicants? (if app.)

• Experience using electronic medical records systems such as Epic.

Work Environment

This position operates in a clinical environment.

Physical: The noise level is usually moderate.

Schedule: This position may be required to work weekend days (Saturday). Schedule up to manager discretion.

Travel: This position may require travel to other clinic locations based on manager discretion.
