Long-Distance Dispatcher

$65,000 - $75,000 yearly Depending on experience

Responsible for working with all facets of dispatch:

• Prepare daily work schedules for all drivers and crew members
• Prepare daily work schedules and responsibilities for the jobs
• Dispatch crews after careful review & communication to meet our service standards, and the scope of work specific to each job and each day
• Dispatch to meet start times each day for each job
• Any employee dispatched will meet MG’s uniform standards
• Review dispatch sheets daily for maximum equipment/manpower utilization and crew productivity; develop improvements and enhancements to the existing system
• Monitor all jobs to ensure operational timelines & goals are met. Clearly communicate all deficiencies directly with crew members within 24 hours of any occurrence
• Adherence to company policy and procedures by warehouse and moving personnel are the responsibility of Dispatch
• Support the recruiting, hiring, training, and evaluate crew and CDL drivers
• Support maintaining operational safety and other standards
• Support standard employee files for all operations employees
• Additional duties, and tasks, as assigned

• Applicant with experience working with people in stressful and dynamic conditions is preferred
• Previous work in a customer-facing position
• Candidate must have great customer service communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s or associate degree is preferred
• We prefer applicants with 1+ years of experience as a service dispatcher
