This is an Office-based Position 8:00 am- 4:30 pm Monday-Friday

Our ideal Home Health Hospice Scheduler: will be enthusiastic about working with a wide variety of clients across the medical spectrum and comfortable working in a smaller, busy office environment and comfortable being on the phone a lot, working with our social workers, therapists and chaplains and managing their schedules. Any experience with hospice or previous healthcare scheduling a huge plus, but more important than anything else, this person must be a take charge, independent worker with a great attitude.

Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate patient record data in Home Care Home Base EMR system
Run scheduling reports and follow up on issues.
Notifies Executive Director / Team Director or designee as needed when documentation is deliquent from staff.
Assists with checking and follow up for billing frequencies every billing period.
Assists with maintaing office and medical supply inventory.
Maintains ongoing scheduling of patients visits.
Perform general office duties including but not limited to, answering telephones, greeting visitors, and handling incoming/outgoing mail.

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent.
One year of home health / hospice scheduling experience.
Two (2+) years general office experience with one (1+) of those years having experience data entry or word processing functions.
Working knowledge of office practices and procedures.
Strong computer / data entry and software skills.
