Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: San Antonio, TX
Duration: 6 months
Description
Looking for 2 individuals for 1st shift. they are open to any skill level of Maintenance Tech (I, II, or III)
Shifts: 1st shift- Monday- Thursday shift can start anywhere from 4:30 am to 6:30 am rotating groups on Mandatory OT (weekends) at least one time a month
  • Workers will need their own PPE steel /safety toe
  • A colorblind / Physical Fit test will be required for the onboarding for maintenance candidates in San Antonio.
  • The client can provide cotton shirts/hats/pants
  • Performs overall general and preventative maintenance of mechanical and electrical
  • components of production equipment.
  • Demonstrate overall safe work behavior, including the utilization of proper safety equipment and adherence to safety guidelines
  • Work on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, paint and engine fluid process control systems, roll formers, plasma cutters and resistance and MIG welding equipment along with other electromechanical equipment.
  • Breakdown; clean; rebuild, troubleshoot, and repair the following types of equipment: pumps, air motors, welders, fluid power systems, gear drives, heavy industrial machinery and controls.
  • Daily application of mechanical/electrical aptitude and skills to solve production-related problems.
  • Rebuild various equipment based on written and oral instruction
  • Work with maintenance organization to resolve open issues
  • Diagnose equipment failures at the system and component levels.
  • Work with the team leaders to perform scheduled maintenance on equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Preferring candidates with some PLC experience
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED
AND
At least 3 years of experience in a maintenance-related field
OR
High School Diploma or GED
AND
Successful completion of and graduation from the Texas Federation for Advanced
Manufacturing Education (FAME) Advanced Manufacturing Technician (AMT) program.

Must have organization skills, effective communication skills with both technical and
professional staff

Physical Requirements (Ability to do the following up to 10 hours per day):
  • Walk, stand, sit, bend, twist/turn, kneel, squat, crawl
  • Climb using both legs and arms
  • Head/neck movement
  • Reach outward or above the shoulder
  • Drive or operate equipment such as lifts and/or motor vehicles
  • Lift, carry, push, or pull 15-45 pounds
  • Repetitive use of hands and fingers, both hands
  • Use of vibrating tools
  • Depth perceptions required
  • Ability to distinguish basic colors and shades of color
  • Exposure to constant and intermittent noise, fumes, smoke and gases,
  • solvents, paint, grease and oils, radiant energy, and slippery surfaces
  • Possess a working knowledge of 480 volt, 277 volt, 240 volt, 208 volt and 120/24 volt systems with the ability to implement these voltages, including routing of all conduit and wires installing breaker panels, disconnects, transformers, lighting, etc. and performing terminations without supervision.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical components.
  • Basic knowledge of industrial safety requirements related to hazardous, flammable, and explosive materials and environments.
  • Ability to self-manage work priorities.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and offer solutions on all industrial systems.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance
  • Ability to work efficiently and with a sense of urgency
  • Knowledge of INFOR and MTTR
  • Ability to specify the needed parts for equipment or process failures.
