RT/UTT Level II Technicians - Resident/Nested

IRISNDT IS CURRENTLY OFFERING AN AMPLE SIGN-ON BONUS FOR RT/UTT LEVEL II TECHNICIANS IN WOOD RIVER, IL! 

The positions are for full-time, nested/resident technicians that want to work a stable and consistent run & maintain schedule.    RELOCATION PACKAGES AVAILABLE (Candidates willing to relocate will not be eligible for both the sign-on bonus and the relocation package but may receive one or the other).

Level II Radiographers must have sufficient technical knowledge and skills to be qualified to set up and calibrate equipment and to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications. The RT Level II Technician must be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified and shall exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of trainees and NDT Level I personnel. The RT Level II Technician must be able to organize, and report results of NDT tests.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Current IRRSP Card or State Card required for Radiographers.
• SNT Level II certifications in RT and UTT required.
• Must have experience with Weld Quality and/or Profile Shots.
• SNT Level II certifications in MT, PT will be considered an asset.
• Computed Radiography (CR) experience required.
• Must provide proof of classroom training hours in RT/CR/UTT
  
• Must have 40 hours of Radiation Safety Training.
  
• Must be capable of following verbal and written instructions.
• Capable of training assistant radiographers.

• Current SPRAT and/or IRATA Rope Access certification will be considered an asset.
  
• Valid Driver’s License and pre-access drug and alcohol testing required.
• Pre-employment background checks will be required.
  

Physical Requirements:

• Move, carry, and lift objects 50 lbs.
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, reach, and climb.
• Remain constantly active throughout shift.
• Vision abilities: close vision, distance vision. 
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
