GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

  • Performs quality assurance for various programs IAW AS 9110 and ensures compliance to maintain product conformity and mitigate risk at the TSG aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul facility. Performs aircraft, aircraft component and shop inspections to ensure compliance with technical instructions and directives.

DUTIES:

  • Monitors production department's conformance with QA standards and procedures.
  • Responsible for upkeep and creation of QMS procedures and control of records.
  • Oversees Internal Audit Program.
  • Oversees the Quality Improvement Program for Corrective and Preventive actions.
  • Provides technical assistance, interprets technical data, and evaluates maintenance actions to ensure safe and reliable aircraft, components, and equipment is provided in accordance with current technical publications and directives.
  • Complies with all regulatory/statutory, customer and contractual requirements.
  • Maintain Technical Publications and related directives.
  • Maintain Technical publications, forms, and records relative to aircraft maintenance.
  • Provides technical assistance, interprets technical data, and evaluates maintenance actions to ensure safe and reliable aircraft, components, and equipment is provided in accordance with current technical publications and directives.
  • Conduct inspections of both completed and on-going modifications and aircraft maintenance activities.
  • Inspects, tests, or measures materials, products, installations, and work to verify conformance to specifications using standard mechanical measurement devices to include: Calipers, Ball Gauges, Radius Gauges, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.
  • Subject Matter expert regarding Statutory & Regulatory requirements and their impact on company's processes and procedures
  • Develop required reports, conduct briefings dealing with the audit process and any findings reported.
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have completed an Army aircraft maintainers course and have six (6) years verifiable experience in aircraft maintenance with 2 years verifiable experience in rotary or fixed wing aircraft inspection under TAMMS.
  • Prefer a graduate of Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course and or Advanced Leaders Course
  • AS9110 auditor certification is desired
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products to create, modify and update test and inspection documents, reports, charts, checklists, and databases.

  • Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
  • Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • May be required to see aircraft in flight, read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.
  • Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales.
  • Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
  • Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
