The role consists of analyzing large data sets and business trends to provide actionable insights to cross-functional teams. Additionally, you will track progress on goals against key strategy and recommend actions to achieve objectives. This position is also responsible for providing ongoing support analysis to our sales team, our corporate office, our Board of Directors, and our customers. When necessary, this position will support Sales Managers by participating in customer presentations and reviews.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Actively uncover business opportunities with deep-dive analytics using various resources including, but not limited to Retailer POS data, NIQ, IRI and other sourcesIndependently discern trends and provide insights-based recommendations to deliver sales objectives from analyticsUtilize available tools to consolidate and cleanse large data sets into easily digestible formatsWork closely with marketing, sales, product development, and other internal teams to ensure customer insights are integrated into business strategies.Integrate Omni-channel insights into analysis where availableAssist with customer, category business line review process and lead category presentations at assigned customer meetingsCreate visually compelling, data-driven presentations with actionable insights and strategiesProvide daily, weekly, monthly score carding as required (Retail Link, Luminate experience a plus) and communicate findings to internal teamsProactively assess, signal and respond to any potential corporate and/or brand specific sales risks or opportunitiesEvaluate the impact of pricing and track competitive activity to identify internal and external growth opportunitiesMonitor new item performance and/or KPIs as needed; this includes new items, promotional events or seasonal timingPerform other duties and projects as assignedQUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s Degree in Business, Statistics, Computer Science or related field with a minimum of 1 year of relevant CPG analytical experience manipulating and managing large amounts of data, or;Associate's Degree in Business or Business Technology with a minimum of 3 years relevant experienceExperience with using and evaluating NIQ, Nielsen or IRI dataAbility to collect, organize, process and measure large amounts of POS data from Retail LinkAbility to measure, interpret and draw conclusions with accuracy from sales and customer dataAbility to craft impactful presentations to explain recommendations and findings of analyses, resources and outside resource studiesProficient with Microsoft Office Suite programs and advanced level skillset in Excel (pivot tables, V-lookup, and advanced formulas)Experience with Tableau, Power BI (or similar analytical packages) a plusWHAT WE OFFERCompetitive salary and performance-based bonus.Comprehensive benefits package that includes healthcare, dental and a 401K plan.Opportunity to work with a passionate and dynamic team.A chance to make a real impact in a growing company.
