Warehouse Lead
1st Shift, $21-22/hr
Work Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
2nd Shift, $22-23/hr
Work Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday to Friday - 3:00 PM to 11:30 P
As a Team Lead you will support leadership in accomplishing the overall team’s mission and lead natural work teams in day-to-day operations. You will contribute to a clean and safe working environment ensuring an effective and efficient execution of the distribution operations, profitability of the organization and customer satisfaction through performing basic distribution operational processes maintaining quality and productivity standards.
Responsibilities:
Work with Facility Manager and HSE Manager to ensure a safe work environment. Train associates (production and warehouse) in cycle count process and inventory transactions. Audit outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and identify potential discrepancies. Solve root cause of inventory errors. Participate actively in preparation for inventories and active participation during inventory. Ensure 5S throughout warehouse. Investigate and reports any discrepancies with regard to non-conformance, inventory, safety and other anomalies. Assist employees with operational issues to resolve them. Monitors individual and team performance and escalates issues to supervisor/manager as required. Accurately performe Value Added Service (VAS) functions on customer orders. This may include but is not limited to: applying customer specified item numbers to products, labelling or packaging per customer requirements, packing of orders per customer requirements, supplying the correct paperwork or correct number of copies as specified by the customer, and additional VAS functions as required. Accurate reporting of completed packages/shipments, separating packages by carrier and service, and ensuring that orders are completed per company policies and procedures. Follow instructions by leadership. Participates in continuous improvement projects. Warehouse administration and housekeeping Other duties as assigned.
Experience:
Desirable English Proficiency: Must be able to read and interpret customer orders, procedures and policies.
Ability to effectively communicate to managers, supervisors, team leads and other employees to address customer or warehouse issues.
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Proficiency with computers utilizing Microsoft Windows Office.
Inventory Control experience required.
3+ years of experience in warehouses or distribution centers managing processes and inventory.
Experience with SAP Business One preferred but not required.
Forklift and pallet jack certification
