Overview

Southeastern Pump is a statewide supplier of engineered pumping systems for the water and wastewater industry. We represent a variety of pump and accessory manufacturers as well as manufacture pre-assembled systems for the wastewater collection market.

Southeastern pump is currently seeking candidates for the position of Assembly & Warehouse Employee at our Pompano Beach office. This position requires a self-motivated candidate that can adapt to the wide variety of both standardized and customized products and systems, as well as maintain established component inventory levels.

The Opportunity

Employee will be responsible for varied daily tasks such as restocking shelves, accepting incoming orders, processing and packing orders, counting inventory, shipping and delivering orders.

Candidates are expected to have hands-on experience with mechanical, plumbing, and or electrical assemblies. Typical duties will include assembly of Bolted Sub-Assemblies, PVC and Stainless-Steel Piping, Electrical Controls, Shipping & Receiving, and supporting efforts of the Sales Team to create the customized solutions required by our customers.

Essential duties and responsibilities (not limited to)

• Read, interpret and follow diagrams, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
• Pick parts for orders
• Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards
• Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Package and ship orders
• Deliver orders to customer
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing orders with forklift as required
• Other duties as assigned

Qualification requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
• Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
• Mechanical Aptitude
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
• Regularly lift 30-50 pounds
• Experience driving forklifts
• Experience driving a passenger truck and utility trailer
