Clampco Products, Wadsworth Ohio, USA has a newly created opportunity for an Accounting Manager.

The onsite position will be an integral part of building out the Accounting Department and given functions. Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Manager will lead efforts to develop a professional accounting department. The initial priorities are to bring the accounting process “in-house” and actively pursue opportunities to streamline and automate current processes.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accounting practices are GAAP compliant, and that the books are audit ready
• Lead efforts to in-source the month-end close process from outside CPA firm (Quickbooks)
• Run the month-end close process, with a goal of 5 day close
• Own the General Ledger, variance analysis, and reporting
• Perform account reconciliations, to ensure an accurate balance sheet
• Develop effective, powerful monthly and weekly reporting tools and graphs
• Oversee cash management, including daily cash reporting
• Oversee the AR/AP process team of three direct reports
• Work closely with Sales to set credit limits, monitor aging, take collections actions on problem accounts
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting exercises
• Work with Operations to pursue and track cost savings projects
• Track CAPX, manage fixed assets, assess capital expenditure requests
• Work with outside CPA firm on the annual review of the financial statements, including preparing work papers and reconciliations, etc.
• Develop daily and weekly tools to track revenue, headcount, and other KPI’s
• Perform key role in setting up accounts, mapping financial statements, and other related tasks as part of new ERP system roll-out in (2025)
• Travel is negligible; the position is onsite

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• CPA, or pursuing CPA is desired, but not required
• Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience, 5+ years, in manufacturing highly desired
• Excellent skills with Accounting software and MS Office suite
• Experience leading an accounting dept and supervising accounting personnel is desired, but not required
• Experience running the month-end close process and generating financial statements
• Strong systems orientation. Ability to learn company’s current operating system.
• Ability to work with senior management, and company personnel at all levels
