The Chinatown Service Center (CSC) is a nonprofit organization providing multilingual health and social services, employment training, and counseling in Greater Los Angeles. CSC'S Outpatient Therapist - Behavioral Health’s Purpose:

Responsible for providing a wide variety of individual, family, and group therapy; including but not limited to clinical assessment, treatment planning, collateral, crisis intervention, and advocacy services to families, children, and other clients in accordance with their specific therapeutic needs.

As a Behavioral Health Outpatient Therapist at CSC, You will:

  • Collaborates with medical staff for a multi-disciplinary approach to planning.
  • Maintains a diverse caseload, meets agency standards, and continuously assesses clients, implementing evidence-based practices.
  • Serves the AB 109 population with various services in the community.
  • Ensures compliance with billing and documentation, demonstrating cultural sensitivity.
  • Maintains professional relationships and contributes actively to program development.
  • Adheres to agency requirements for billing and audits, attending staff meetings for ongoing training

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Psychology or related field.
  • Must be licensed-eligible, i.e., board-registered AMFT, ASW, MSW, OR Licensed professional: LMFT, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist. Must maintain licensure as a condition of employment.
  • Experience working with dual diagnosed/co-occurring patients with both a substance use disorder and a mental illness.
  • Knowledge of principles and techniques of social, cultural, and intergenerational dynamics of Asian immigrants and refugees
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to cultural competency and client-centered care.
  • Available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Possession of a valid California driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Successfully meet the post-offer/pre-hire physical and DMV Driving Record Search requirements and receive an eligibility status for Level II Background Check required by the State of California.
