Job Description

Accounting Specialist

Main duties: Manage client accounts through proprietary accounting software and associated reports.

This section manages various accounting profiles and associated legal documentation with the use of a proprietary software (Collection Master) and Microsoft Office Suite including OUTLOOK and ACCESS. The job requires the entry of daily accounting information; balancing accounts: maintaining costs; creating payment reports; manage checking system; invoice reconciliation; coordinate between team members and commercial clients to analyze business accounting requirements; and identify accounting constraints.

This job is a hybrid of duties relying heavily on attention-to-detail in support of accounting, spreadsheet data use and creation, data entry, electronic file maintenance, Internet research, and fielding telephone calls. Must have excellent computer, communication, writing skills, and the ability to learn quickly. Position requires the individual to be adept in learning new concepts and the ability to apply them across the realm of proprietary software requirements.

Required skills:

· 2 years bookkeeping or accounting background

· Ability to efficiently connect individual processes

· Use of Microsoft Office application

· Attention-to-detail in a computer savvy environment

· Professional, friendly, and flexible for deadlines

· Above and beyond work ethics

Ideal Candidate will:

· Have prior experience with Collection Master software or similar

· Accurately create reports using Microsoft Access

· Be comfortable in a near paperless environment

· Have experience working with internal and external customers
