Job Title: Durable Medical Equipment Specialist & Rehab Support Representative
Supervisor: Physical Therapist
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Summary: Delivery courier responsible for picking up, delivering and setting up Durable Medical Equipment (DME) in homes, supplies, and miscellaneous items as directed. Responsible for the organization of DME at POSP and in the POSP storage facility. Responsible for the maintenance of DME owned or rented by POSP. Assists participants with walking and exercise programs as directed. Works under the direct supervision of a Licensed Therapist.
Specifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED minimum.
Experience: Has at least 1 year of experience working with the frail elderly population. Experience working in a therapy setting preferred.
Number and Type of Employees Supervised (optional): None
Licensure, Registry or Certification Required: Valid NC Driver’s License with good driving record with a minimum of no major moving violations.
Specifications: Must possess knowledge and skills necessary to provide customer service to participants and other training as required by department. Only act within the scope of his or her authority to practice. Meet a standardized set of competencies for the specific position description established by PACE of the Southern Piedmont and approved by CMS before working independently.
Immunizations: Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up to date before engaging in direct participant contact.

Neonate/Infant Early Childhood Adolescent Adult Geriatric All Age Groups
Participant Interface: Must be comfortable and eager to engage our participants in a warm and welcoming manner while maintaining a professional distance and attitude. Experience with issues of aging and health challenges would be helpful. Demonstrates knowledge of and supports PACE mission, vision, values, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.
