Injection Mold Operator

We are currently searching for an Injection Mold Operator. The Injection Mold Operator safely operates the injection mold machine and performs various assembly and inspection functions on various plastic skylight parts.

Schedule: This position is a Tuesday-Thursday shift, 6am to 6:15pm which includes overtime pay as applicable by CA law.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operates injection molding work-cell station.
• Follows written and verbal job specifications.
• May set stops or guides as indicated by prints, diagrams, and instructions.
• Observes machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.
• Performs visual quality inspections.
• Pushes buttons or depresses pedal to activate machine.
• Bolts, clips, screws, cements, tapes, or otherwise fasten parts together using hand tools and/or power tools, riveter, elbow machine and hipot tester.
• Packages finished products once assembled and quality inspected.
• Cleans up work area as required.
• Communicates effectively with peers, supervisors, and management.
• Completes accurately all daily summary, RMA and RTV reports as required.
• Performs all duties safely.
• Attends meetings and classes as required.
• Performs all related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION

• 1-2 years’ experience working in an assembly or production role.
• Ability to work well in a team setting.
• Strong communication skills and reliability.
• Ability to stand up to 12 hours a day.
