Job description

Temp-to-Hire Opportunity | $20-$21 per Hour | 1st Shift - 9am-6pm or 9am-5:30pm

We are seeking a reliable Injection Molding Operator for a 1st Shift, temp-to-hire opportunity in a plastics manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking an entry-level Injection Molding Operator position. The Injection Molding Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring injection molding machines, producing quality parts, performing inspections, completing production documentation, and maintaining a safe and organized work area. This position is ideal for individuals seeking a manufacturing role that emphasizes quality, precision, and attention to detail rather than heavy physical labor. Unlike many production jobs that involve frequent lifting, repetitive bending and stooping, or working in high-heat environments, this role primarily involves seated inspection and quality assurance work in a comfortable manufacturing setting. Operators perform visual quality checks on small medical device components, making a keen eye for detail and consistency key to success.

Responsibilities

  • Operate injection molding machines according to work instructions and production schedules.
  • Inspect, trim, and package molded products to quality standards.
  • Complete production paperwork and maintain accurate records.
  • Report quality issues, defects, and machine concerns to supervisors.
  • Communicate production status and issues during shift changes.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Follow all quality, safety, and production procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimal experience working in a Mold Injector Operator position preferred but not required.
  • Ability to follow work instructions and safety procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Keen eyesight.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Enjoys repetitive, detail-oriented work and maintaining consistent quality standards.
  • Comfortable performing visual inspections of small medical device components for extended periods while sitting down.
  • Seeking a manufacturing position with limited physical demands and a focus on quality assurance in a clean comfortable environment.
  • Experience with injection molding or plastics manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of production processes and quality inspections.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing tools such as trimming equipment, magnifiers, and measuring devices.
