Job description

Machine Operator – Injection Molding

Pay: Up to $22/hour, based on experience
Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:45 PM
Overtime: Mandatory overtime as needed

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate injection molding, transfer molding, and dispensing machines.
  • Install and use the correct molds, fixtures, and tooling for each production order.
  • Adjust machine pressure, temperature, cycle time, and other settings according to work instructions.
  • Monitor machine operation and report malfunctions or production issues.
  • Remove finished parts from molds using basic hand tools.
  • Inspect molded parts for defects, quality, color, and proper dimensions.
  • Complete production, inspection, defect, labor, and material documentation accurately.
  • Enter completed production information and move products to the next operation in the ERP system.
  • Report defective, expired, or questionable materials to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety and quality procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 1–2 years of manufacturing or production experience.
  • Injection molding or transfer molding experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with polyurethane, neoprene, epoxy, or EPDM is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to distinguish acceptable parts from defective parts.
  • Good vision and the ability to distinguish colors; corrected vision is acceptable.
  • Basic computer and ERP system skills.
  • Ability to stand for most of the shift and frequently lift, push, pull, or carry 10–25 pounds.
  • Must be reliable and available for mandatory overtime Monday through Saturday as needed.
  • Must meet U.S. Person requirements for access to ITAR-controlled technical data.
