We are excited to announce an opening for an Injection/Blow Molding Press Operator to join our dynamic team


Monday–Friday: 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift. 8-hour shifts with a 30- minute lunch break Monday through Friday for Applewhite facility and Building #28 inside Toyota campus.


Vacancies:

- 2 opening: 1st shift starting 5:30am and 6:00am

- 1 opening: 2nd shift starting at 1:30pm - 2:00 pm



Job Title: Injection/Blow Molding Press Operator

Department: Injection Molding/Blow Molding Production

Reports To: Shift Supervisor

Direct Reports: None

Status: Onsite Hourly – Direct Labor


Job Summary:

The Injection/Blow Molding Press Operator is responsible for receiving plastic injection molding parts from presses. This is a hands-on, entry-level manufacturing position requiring attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.


Main Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

· Receive injection-molded plastic parts from the press and process them according to specifications, including passing parts through secondary equipment for assembly.

· Inspect finished products for quality to ensure product is free from injection molding defects such as flash, splay, short shots, etc.

· Maintain the process speed to meet cycle time standards for each product type.

· Verify that the equipment is operating properly. Notify Team Leader or Group Leader, if the equipment is not performing to standard.

· Follow all job specific Work Instructions (Standard Work Instructions)

· Maintain an acceptable level of housekeeping by 5S standards in the assigned work area. Work areas must be kept clear of debris or any items which are not necessary to perform the work assignment.

· Install components (clips, grommets, pads, foam, film, etc.) and have good vision to detect defects on the plastic parts.

· Cross train in multiple operations and rotate tasks within the department to improve plant ergonomics.

· Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding production issues, equipment problems, or material shortages in a timely manner.

· Other duties may be assigned.


Requirements:

Education:

· High school diploma or GED

Experience:

· Minimum of 6 months of experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment, preferred.

· Prior experience in plastics or injection molding preferred but not required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Computer Skills:

· Basic skills using iPads, data entry, email, and web applications.

Mathematical Abilities:

· Ability to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

Analytical or Reasoning Abilities:

· Ability to understand and follow written technical procedures/instructions

· Ability to identify and report potential quality or safety issues.

Communication Skills: (Writing, Foreign Language, Reasoning)

· Ability to read, write and speak English

· Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization.

· Bilingual English-Spanish preferred

Other Skills (Technical, or Other special knowledge and abilities)

· Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work.

· Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect defects.

· Ability to take initiative and work independently while maintaining a team-oriented approach.

· Willingness to learn, adapt, and rotate across multiple operations.

· Ability to use sharp hand tool such as cutter and blades


Physical Requirements:

· 100% will be spent on the production floor completing work related to the position. Manufacturing plant setting with exposure to heat, noise, and moving machinery.

· Must be able to lift, squat, twist, bend, stand (2-4 hours at a time) and well as perform repetitive movements

· Must be able to lift 25 pounds individually and team lift 50 pounds

· Must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures without endangering the health or safety of self or others.

· Must wear all personal protective equipment where required.
