Job description

People Architects is recruiting for a Injection Molding Technician for our direct client.


The PMT will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the plastic injection molding processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up our injection molding machines and secondary/auxiliary equipment. This position requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a passion for ensuring the smooth operation of production.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Setup injection molds in injection molding machines and secondary/auxiliary equipment.
  • Establish and adjust processing parameters to specifications.
  • Aid in preparing and setting up material by managing drying, mixing, and feeding systems.
  • Minimize downtime through effective planning and time management.
  • Assist in optimizing injection molding processes, including adjusting machine settings, monitoring equipment performance, and making necessary changes to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on machines and tooling, working with maintenance teams for more complex repairs.
  • Ensure all technical activities are carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment

Technical Qualifications:

  • At least 2-3 years experience as Process Mold Technician.
  • Experience and/or willingness to learn Scientific Molding principles.
  • Solid mechanical ability and understanding of hand tools for setting up equipment.
  • Understanding of setting up molds in plastic injection molding machines.
  • Experience using a tow motor/forklift.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand and walk throughout the shift, up to 12 hours at a time.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to crouch, bend and reach to access equipment and perform maintenance or setup tasks.
  • Must have manual dexterity for handling small components, operating machinery and performing precise adjustments.
  • Use of PPE as required by task and area of work.
